Loss of hair both in men and women is a difficult matter to tackle. More often, the people who are facing hair loss will concentrate exclusively on the prevention/treatment of hair rather than the origin of the problem, which may be more helpful in tackling the problem better. Even though the reasons for the loss of hair vary from individual to individual, there are a few specific factors that cause loss of hair, like heredity and aging.
Among men, the most common reasons for the loss of hair are heredity, aging and also hormones. These reasons contribute to the potential for men to lose hair. In women, the common reasons for the loss of hair include impeded circulation, hormonal changes after childbirth, menopause and also poor diet. Some other causes of hair loss include excessive stress, diabetes, some kinds of drugs, hair dyes and chemicals, insufficient intake of vitamins and malnutrition and others.
In the case of hair loss owing to genes, there probably is not much that men or women can do to prevent it. The possibility is that if a parent or a close relative or relatives also have the problem of loss of hair, these people also experience hair loss due to their heredity. Here, hair loss appears to be a disease based on genetics or a trait that is carried in the DNA. It must be borne in mind that all the hair loss is not based on heredity. As a matter of fact, some people may experience hair loss, which is not the case with their parents and other members of the family. This only indicates that there is another factor that is causing hair loss and not heredity, like stress or chemicals or poor nutrition.
When people experience loss of hair when they are young or lose excessive amounts of hair, this is an indication of the presence of a factor that is contributing to this hair loss. As mentioned earlier, especially in premature and extreme cases, the leading cause is heredity, apart from weakness from overworking and stress, hair dyes and chemicals, diseases and so on.
Based on the reasons for the loss of hair, there are various methods to try to treat this condition. But it must be remembered that it is important to find the reason for the loss of hair in order to determine the kind of treatment to start. For example, if the loss of hair is due to a disease, you can start the treatment if it is due to chemotherapy to treat cancer, then any treatment will not be helpful in the prevention of hair. If stress is the cause of hair loss, you have to find ways and means to reduce stress and tension and regular treatment products will help in restoring the lost hair.
.
On the whole, whatever the reason, hair loss is difficult to treat. Becoming aware of the cause of hair loss is likely to contribute to the prevention/treatment of the disease of hair loss. Persons individually may not have control over the factor of losing hair, from heredity to aging. It may be possible to find the right kind of treatment for this problem: preserving hair and attempting to treat the damaged hair. The various factors adding to the loss of hair make the job of finding the treatment for the problem less difficult, but not impossible. Even in the extreme cases, there generally is a solution for the reason.
