Stop hair loss

Whenever anybody thinks of hair loss, the most common picture that strikes anyone is that of balding men. It is not that women do not lose hair. Even though hair loss is less common among women, the options for the prevention of loss of hair among them are also the same as with men. At times, the loss of hair will be found to be hereditary in both men and women and at other times there will be some other reasons for the loss. Most of the time, with women, hair loss is the result of hormonal changes. A few months following delivery, if women take birth control pills or end menopause naturally and thus bring change in hormonal levels. These changes lead to new symptoms that include hair loss.

Even though many women do not suffer the problem of hair loss due to hormonal upheavals, there are sufficient numbers of cases that generated the demand for products that reduce hair loss and provide treatment options for women. Contrary to perceptions, hair loss in women is common and more and more women are acting upon this problem and are buying hair loss prevention products and other hair nourishing material.

There are many products in the market for treating hair loss among men and women. For example, a product for hair loss among men, like an oral contraceptive pill, may be recommended for women in a lesser dosage form. Hair loss vitamin supplements for men and women are available. The nutrients and other essential ingredients that help growth hair in men and women are the same. Hence these products are useful. Some times the causes of loss of hair in women are due to hormonal fluctuations and varying the hormonal level may prevent hair loss. For example, while on birth control pills, women may notice loss of hair after a few months of use. If taking the pills is stopped or changing to some other brand with lower levels of hormones may prevent hair loss.

The same holds good for women who lose hair following childbirth. Once the body adjusts to the changes in hormone levels after delivery, the hair loss may stop naturally. However, in some cases, the loss of hair can’t be stopped naturally. This is the time when hair loss preventing products like hormones and vitamins come into play.

On the whole, hair loss among men seems to be more acceptable socially whereas in women, it appears to be not so acceptable as in men. Hence, using available hair loss prevention and treatment products might help those women who are suffering from loss of hair and provide them a sense of relief. It makes sense to use hair loss preventing products to stop hair loss.
